Review Process

Types of Publications
  1. Invited Publications: CBLT may invite contributions from practitioners, academicians and students on a particular topic/theme.

  2. Rolling Submissions: CBLT accepts contributions from practitioners, academicians and students for publication on a rolling basis.

Submission Guidelines
  • The submission should address the contemporary issue(s) in the field of business laws, commercial laws and taxation. Such as:

    • Mergers and Acquisitions.

    • Competition Law.

    • Banking and Insurance.

    • Data Privacy.

    • Fintech laws.

    • White-Collar crimes.

The aforementioned themes are indicative and the authors are at liberty to write on any contemporary issue in the field of business laws, commercial laws and taxation.

  • The article should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) on the Google Form.

  • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two (2) authors.

  • Word Limit:1000-1500.

  • All the manuscripts are subject to plagiarism check, any work which is plagiarised will be rejected. A similarity index of 20% is strictly adhered to for all submissions.


Submission Style Guidelines
  • Use Garamond font, size 12, with a line spacing of 1.5.

  • Maintain margins of 1.5 inches on the left and 1 inch on the right, with 1 inch on the top and bottom.

  • Citations should be hyperlinked within the document and the portion being referenced. The Edit Board reserves the right to add additional links to sources relevant to the post.

  • The manuscript should not contain the name of the author(s), institutional affiliation, or any other identification mark.

  • The author(s) are responsible for the accuracy of facts, opinions, or views stated in the submitted manuscript.


Review Process
  • Each submission is reviewed by a two-stage blind review process. The editors retain the discretion of accepting, rejecting or requesting any changes to be made in the said submission.


[Note: The authors must ensure that the submissions are original work of the author and should have not been published previously or currently submitted for publication to any other platform. The author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of statement of acts, opinions or views in the submission.]
